This page explains what information is used when you visit the portfolio or contact me.
1. Data controller
Leandro Santos, Lousada, Portugal. For privacy enquiries or to exercise your rights, write to geral.byleandr0@gmail.com.
2. Browsing the website
This version of the website does not use visitor analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, externally hosted fonts or embedded social media. The code examples and interfaces run locally in the browser.
The web server may log technical request data such as IP address, date and time, requested address, response status and browser information. These logs support service operation, diagnostics and security, based on the legitimate interest in providing and protecting the website.
The current preview runs on a local XAMPP server. Log retention settings depend on that server. Before online publication, this information will be updated to identify the hosting provider, relevant recipients and retention periods.
3. Preparing or sending an email
The form uses the name, project type and message you enter to prepare an email in your configured app. These fields are not sent to a website database or stored by the website code between visits.
If you send the email, I receive your email address and the content you include. I use it to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, prepare a proposal or perform an agreement. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract or performing a contract. Other enquiries are handled on the basis of the legitimate interest in replying to your communication.
The contact address uses Google's Gmail service. The visitor's email provider and the recipient process the message under their own terms and policies. Information about Google's processing, including international transfers and safeguards, is available in Google's Privacy Policy.
4. Retention and recipients
Messages are kept only as long as needed to respond, follow up on an enquiry or manage a contractual relationship. The period depends on the conversation, any legal obligations and the need to exercise or defend rights. Data that is no longer needed should be deleted.
Data is not sold or used by this website for advertising. It may be processed by technical providers needed for communication, such as the email service, or disclosed to authorities where legally required.
5. Cookies and browser storage
The website does not set HTTP cookies. The notice lets you choose whether to save an acknowledgement in local browser storage (localStorage). This record does not identify the visitor and is not sent to a server by the website code.
| Record | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
byleandr0.privacy.v1 | Stores the version and date of your acknowledgement, only after you choose 'Save preference'. | 180 days. The record is checked and removed on the next visit after that period. |
When you choose 'Continue without saving', the notice closes on the current page and no new record is saved. Any previously saved acknowledgement is removed. The notice may reappear when you open another page or reload the website.
You can review your choice using the 'Cookies' button in the footer or delete website data in your browser settings. The website still works if your browser blocks storage.
Your PT or EN choice is maintained through links and the page address. It does not create cookies or a language record in your browser.
6. Your rights
Where applicable, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Send your request to the contact address on this page. Proportionate information may be needed to verify your identity. A response will normally be provided within one month, subject to legally permitted extensions.
You may lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD). More information about your rights is available on the official European Union website.
7. Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated when features, providers or data processing change. The date at the top identifies the current version.
